Photography Club

I went to another meeting of the Milton Keynes photography club last Thursday night. At the meeting was an internal club competition. This means that the club paid an external judge to come in and give his/her opinion. The format usually is that the judge will flip through the pictures once and comment on them, then give them a score. One of the comments of the judge was so good I have to share it. He was judging a picture of a monument. It was a night shot and brilliantly lit. The judge commented on the use of light and color and then pronounced, "This is the time when you need to take a blow-up cat out of your bag and place it in the picture to give it life." He went on to say, "in this case a blow-up monk would be even better. Every photographer should have a blow up monk in his bag."

This weekend was nice, but colder. I went for a ride around Milton Keynes yesterday. I now know where all of the posh houses are and where all of the not-so-posh houses are.
