Visit from the Conways
Yesterday evening some old friends from Poquoson stopped by to visit. They were over here because Mr. Conway teaches for Embry Riddle and comes over once a year to teach at Lakenheath. So yesterday they stopped in and received the grand tour of Cranfield. I managed to stretch it for about an hour :) and then they graciously took me out to dinner. It was good to catch up on news from home, and just talk to other Americans in general, one of those note swapping sessions. We compared food, healthcare and a bunch of other US/British things.
The most unusual statement of the evening was when Mr. Conway said in disbelief, "Yes that really is a purple car. Surely, that isn't the original color." I had to assure him that yes it was the original color, and that it was a relatively tame color compared with some newer Micra models.
