The biscuit saga continues

Good morning everybody.

As usual I'm sitting here trying to get charged up to do some work by thinking of something to write. I guess I should update you all on the biscuit (read cookie) situation. Well we have started a petition and have collected about 119 signatures of the probably 200 people floating around the hanger. Of those we only ever see about 140 of them because the others are anti-social and never come down to the forum anyway. So it is going well.

It is going so well in fact, that yesterday we had an impromptu meeting with the cheif financial person at the newly formed School of Engineering. We were told that the reason we had to go to a subscription service was that the guy who currently sells the tea goodies isn't qualified to be handling money. It turns out that last year the College was audited for the first time in 8 years and having staff members handling money who aren't trained to handle money is a big no-no. We have broken all kind of financial laws 25p at a time. So the solution is to hand it over to a vending machine. Yes folks, the human cannot handle money, but the machine can.

If anyone has any ideas how to keep a pay-for-service system with out the actual paying part, please send me an email. The obvious solution would be to send the Tea guy on whatever training course it is to certify him to do a job he has had for 8+ years... Other than that one I'm open for suggestions. Our other option is to open an illegal shop ourselves.
