British Identity
Yesterday in the post I received my provisional driver's liscense. It is amazingly simple piece of plastic and, with the exception of the red L on the front reminds me of military issue identification of yesteryear. Olive drab background; really small typewriter style font; numbers instead of words for labels, with a legend on the back. Even the military has gotten better by now. I'm surprised that they don't just issue us with driving dog tags.
But dispite the horrible appearance, it is mine. It has my correct name, picture and address. What is even better is that it is valid until 2012.
