Mom's visit in a nut shell

Mom and I had a great week together. I don't have any photo's yet, but will add them if any come out well.

We spent the first day around Cranfield as it was late by the time she got all the way up here. I took her to the local grocery store and she got to see what is and is not available here.

Friday and Saturday we hit London. We saw the Tower of London, and the crown jewels. Then we walked down the river towards St. Pauls. In the evening we saw "Yeoman of the Guard" at the Savoy and had dinner before. Mom was in her element. Saturday we went to Madam Taussauds and toured the shopping district, stopping in at Harrods and one other big department store. At Harrods we bought a gingerbread man, just to say that we had purchased something.

Sunday we went over to the Commissary at Lakenheath to stock up on imported American goods.

Monday we headed for bath and toured around in the rain until Wednesday morning when we headed back.

If all is well, she is currently checking in at Gatwick and waiting in the duty-free shopping center for her flight.

OK dad, now she's your responsibility again. Unless of course the ATC system goes down again:)
