World Cup & Golden Jubilee
Mom left on Thursday morning and both Friday and today have been beautiful. Coincidence? I'll let you decide.
This weekend marks the beginning of the world cup and the Queen's Golden Jubilee. This means that we get both Monday and Tuesday off. Not to worry, I took my vacation last week, so I'll still be here writing away.
The whole place has this festival attitude. Everyone except the French are smilling and having a grand time. (For those of you who haven't been following the world cup, France is the favorite to win the whole thing, but they lost their first game yesterday to Senegal) Since Britian and the U.S. colors are the same , red, white, and blue are everywhere. It reminds me of the 4th of July.
