Ah, Cranfield
Good morning everyone? I hope the sun is shining wherever you are waking up this morning. We are going on day three with no AM sunshine.
Still not much going on here. I'm trying to pass a Research Students' Bill of Rights (I figure there is a better Europen term for it, maybe I'll call it a the Research Students' Magna Carta or something like that). I'm sick and tired of watching new students come in and go through the same hassle of finding a desk, finding a filing cabinet, finding a bookshelf, begging and begging for a computer, ordering the computer, losing it to the computer center for a month, getting it back to find it still isn't right, looking for extension cords, wrestling with linux, frustration at supervisor, lack of any real progress, nine-month review notice, panic, lack of funds, nine-month review, failure, tears, deciding to go home, or waste more time.
Ah, Cranfield hasn't been a good experience. Doesn't everyone want to come here?
