My next challenge
From the Head of School:
The School of Engineering policy on telephone access for PhD students is internal lines only. If a student needs to make external calls relating to his/her work, he/she should use the Departmental Secretary's phone, or for more confidential calls obtain permission from their supervisor to use the telephone in their office.
In exceptional circumstances, if the project is such that regular phone calls are necessary, the student's supervisor can request that the student's phone is enabled to make external calls. However, this will require the written authorisation of the relevant Head of Department.
Oh, and West Wing was on last night. It is a year old, but better than nothing. I was very happy.
